Best fan I’ve ever owned.,
I’ve been using this fan for over 1 year. Our den has a high ceiling and in the late afternoon the hot summer sun starts heating up the room. Our central AC unit just needs a little help in this room and decided to try this fan after my son had gotten one for his bedroom and said it almost felt like it was a small room AC unit. It has helped keep the den cool until the sun goes down. The remote w/ all of its features is an added bonus. I’ve recommended this unit to several people and they have agreed. I’ve read several complaints about the noise. I’ve keep it generally on the lowest speed and at this speed found no problem but at full speed it is a bit noisy but nothing I can’t handle.

|I think this picture is wrong,
I have the Lasko 4930 which is a High Velocity Blower Fan, along with a timer, 3 settings and a remote. Also offers adjustable louvers and oscillation. I love the fan, it is a bit louder than a standard fan, but that is to be expected with the amount of air it moves. The air even feels cool even on the hottest day. Definitely a winner. If the picture were correct, I may order another, but would hate to get the wrong fan as I truly love my Lasko 4930 HVB fan.

|Very Powerful, Somewhat Loud,
At first, I couldn’t decide between this fan and the Lasko 4924. After all, the pictures looked identical and I could not tell the difference. I called the company and they said the 4930 is a newer model, with a remote and a timer. Besides that, it is virtually the same as the 4924. This fan is VERY POWERFUL. It can cool a room instantly and blows a significant amount of air. It blows loose papers around so if using it an office, that paperweight will come in handy! I own several fans, including a Vornado and this is much better than the Vornado (and cheaper). I feel that this blows more air than the Vornado, and the temperature of the air that it blows is cooler. The timer is a great feature, it uses a lot of energy so I always turn the timer on so if I leave the room and forget to turn it off, it turns itself off. The only downside to this fan is that it is rather loud. If you have it in the same room as your TV you will either need to turn the setting on the fan down or turn the TV up. Since this is such a powerful fan, you get a lot of cooling just on the lowest setting. Remember, it is a high velocity blower so I guess the noise is a trade off for the amount of air you have blowing. The recessed handle in the back makes it easier to carry from room to room, and the directional louvres do help direct the flow of air. I recommend it, but the noise can be irritating at times. Other than that, I feel it is the best fan on the market, and the price is very reasonable.

|Fan of this fan,
This is the fifth Lasko tower fan I’ve purchased. I got one for my brother, my son and my grandma. It is quiet, which is awesome for my OCD brother who hates loud sounds. It has amazing cooling power, which helps my son who doesn’t have AC in his room. And my grandma who can’t walk loves that she can control it with the remote. The tower design allows you to put it anywhere and it looks nicer and has much more power than a stand fan.

|Lasko Wind Tower 2517 Fan,
We just bought this today and it is great. We had a Holmes Pedestal Fan that just gave out after about 10 years. It is down in our basement and seems to cool down the room nice. It is on low speed right now and feels great. We aren’t way across the room but even on the high it seems to put out a good breeze, not an industrial speed but great for a regular room. We bought it at Walmart for $39.99 + tax so I wouldn’t buy for more.

|Better than more expensive fans,
This is a great fan, very quiet but very powerful. I use it usually on the medium setting because on the high setting it will blow your socks off. The rotating action keeps my wife and me cooled. The remote of course is convenient.
