Asthma Treatment And You, Overcome Your Asthma Naturally

Author: Foras Aje
Source: isnare.com

From my very first Asthma attack at the age of seven till my last one about 5 years ago, Asthma (along with acne in my teenage and early adult years) had been a health problem that I had to deal with. Needless to say, those were some depressing years.

Depressing because I had been told my doctors, family and friends that there wasn’t a cure for Asthma, heck my pastor even went as far as to say that along with my acne, “in every thing give thanks for this is the will of God for you…”

Alas, they were all wrong.

Asthma can be cured and naturally at that. My belief is if it worked for me, it can definitely work for anyone plagued by this disease.

I was so vulnerable to this respiratory disorder that even the slightest friendly pat on the back would ignite an asthma attack characterized by wheezes, gasps, and cough spells, that could last as long as a week.

This went on till I stumbled on Drugless Healing and its abilities to alleviate so-called incurable diseases. This method of healing involves the use of Proper Diet, Exercise and mental attunements and can be applied to an Asthma treatment regimen as well for great benefits.

Let me show you how:

First of all, let’s start with its definition.

Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the bronchial tubes (airways) that causes swelling and narrowing (constriction) of the airways. The result is difficulty breathing. The bronchial narrowing is usually either totally or at least partially reversible with treatments.

That’s its definition in the medical fraternity, but based on my experiences, I will simply choose to believe that Asthma, like any other disease known to man, is a result of a clogging of the human bodily tissues which is a 99.99% consequence of eating disease/mucus forming foods, which include (but are not limited to) Animal foods such as meat, milk, cheese and eggs, Grains and their by products, processed and junk foods.

Abstinence from the products above is a must and a fact that has been in effect in several asthma treatment programs aimed at correcting respiratory health such as the “Breath Retaining Program For Asthmatics” developed by the Russian, Dr. Buteyko. Within weeks of adhering to this advice, many chronic asthmatics have been able to give up the use of ventolin inhalers.

Therefore, the first step in achieving a successful asthma treatment will simply be to make a change in your diet by avoiding mucus forming foods and adhering to consuming their direct opposites, the body healing/alkaline forming foods. These include Seasonal, Organic Fruits, Roots and Leafy Vegetables and very little nuts.

It may sound boring or unrealistic but, if curing your asthma (or any disease or condition you may have as a matter of fact) is your goal, this sacrifice is well worth it. Besides, with so many fruits and vegetables to choose from, abstinence from Acid-forming foods shouldn’t be difficult at all.

In addition to all of the facts mentioned above, based on scientific research, the human body goes through a cleansing process from twelve midnight until twelve noon, and a building program from twelve noon to twelve midnight. Therefore, what is eaten during these respective periods must be harmonious with the natural processes. That said a suggested menu plan will be

1. Fresh squeezed Fruit Juice for breakfast.
2. A mono-meal of a juicy, seasonal fruit for lunch
3. A fresh home-made salad, steamed root and/or leafy vegetables or a wise combination of all three for dinner.

Also, do not consume liquids of any kind with your meals as this practice hinders digestion by diluting the juices in the stomach. This brings about a constriction of the diaphragm, inhibiting its natural motions needed for respiration. If there is a natural thirst (as with an alkaline forming diet, thirst is minimal as an added benefit) drink only enough to quench your desire with pure distilled water at least an hour before or after your meals and certainly 2 hours at least before going to bed.

Strictly avoid the use of Microwaves (you may refer to my personal experience with them in the section of my site concerning Acne)-the source of information on this is issued at the end of Chapter 13 in the downloadable e-book, but for a brief overview of this topic the balancing of specific foods is not the only important aspect of a healthy diet, but as important is the manner in which the foods are cooked.

Other things to avoid are excessively cold drinks, excessive exposure to cold, air-conditioning, heaters (without the use of humidifiers and a cracked window for fresh air during winter times-Hint: sleep closer to the cracked window, while I lived in Minneapolis, MN for two years that was my trick to ensure I was properly ventilated at night), fans etc.

Also, avoid at all costs eating conventional fruits they are loaded with disease forming pesticides and sprays that upon consumption wreak havoc on the respiratory organs, take it from this author, I learned this the hard way!

With proper breathing techniques as offered for free on my site and a suggested adherence to the dietetic principles above, be assured that you are well on your way to curing your asthma naturally and permanently.

Asthma need not be a part of your life anymore, you, like many others can control it and make it a thing of your past.

India Emerging As A Global Healthcare Destination

Author: Christine Macguire
Source: isnare.com

Health is vital for ethical, artistic, material and spiritual development of man. It is very certain that of all the gains, the gains of health are the highest and the best. Traveling abroad for treatment has been an age-old practice. In ancient Greece, pilgrims and patients came from all over the Mediterranean to the sanctuary of the healing god, Asklepios, at Epidaurus. There were spiritual values attached to traveling for getting cured in ancient times that only a few of the privileged lot could afford. With the passage of time and the ease of traveling, people have started traveling offshore in search of faster, cheaper and safer surgical procedures.

Relatively new to the oriental part of the globe, medical tourism has been an age old phenomena in the West and has been supported by highly-developed indigenous health care systems and constant improvements in technology. By upgrading the technology, gaining greater familiarity with latest medical protocols and improving the image in terms of quality and cost, the health-care industry in countries like India and Thailand are attracting a global clientele to emerge as a top medical-tourism destinations.

In a country as diverse as India, the health care industry has capitalized on its rich cultural resource and glorious past. In sharp contrast to the generally impoverished economical background, there are private health care centers that offer sophisticated medical services, comparable to and at times even better than those offered by developed countries. A recent market study forecasts a growth from US$ 18.7 billion to around US$ 45 billion – equivalent to 8.5 per cent of GDP by 2012. India has emerged as the leading country promoting medical tourism.

India’s health care industry along with its IT and tourism sector has helped it move into the economic renaissance. It is poised to become a major driver of economic growth as first-world patients, driven out of their own systems by high costs and crowded conditions, look for cheaper places for medical care. The Government of India provides Tourist Visa of short duration and a special Medical Tourism Visa (M) of longer duration (up to 1 year) for persons. Patients are also provided Visa (MX) for their accompanying spouse coming to India for Medical Treatment. New terms such as such as health tourism, health care outsourcing and medical back office support have gained good popularity in the nation.

Medical tourism in India is a business that has been estimated to be worth $2 billion by 2012. What has been termed as “International Patient Care” is already gaining pace in the nation. Private health care units are constantly improvising their health infrastructure and attracting a regular stream of international patients by appending alluring benefits to their package. This seems quite reasonable given the rising costs of treatment in western countries along with increasing demands of an ageing population. Costs of advanced surgeries in India are 10-15 times lower than anywhere in the world that attracts patients from abroad to avail a host of arrangements at an easily affordable rate. A typical package includes air travel, local transportation, translation services, air-conditioned five-star accommodation for the patient and also for accompanying spouse or relative in many cases, together with their personalized choice of global cuisine.

From less than 10,000 patients visiting India for medical treatment five years ago, the market of medical tourism in India has taken a great leap in recent years. It is now worth US$ 333 million, with about 100,000 foreign patients coming in every year. India is well positioned to tap the top end of the global healthcare industry because of the facilities and services it offers and by leveraging the brand equity of Indian healthcare professionals across the globe. “A global healthcare destination” is what even the government is planning to brand the nation and is making economic policies in that direction.

Moreover, salutary dry skin care also expects the use of moisturizing hand soaps in addition to body soaps, and you also need to use stronger ointments or creams in the frigid winter time of year although in the summer you need to use more friable lotions.

Remember. Apply night creams and moisturizers at night if you suffer from dry skin. Make sure that you get on a good regimen and apply moisturizers and bath oils at least once every day. Pay close attention. You need to drink a lot of water every day all through the day. Avoid using products that contain alcohol. Just be following these simple rules, your skin will begin to lose its flakiness and will take on a comfortable glow.

Intertrigo Treatment Tips

Author: Juliet Cohen
Source: articlesfactory.com

Intertrigo is facilitated by moisture trapped in deep skinfolds where air circulation is limited. An intertrigo usually develops from the chafing of warm, moist skin in the areas of the inner thighs and genitalia, the armpits, under the breasts, the underside of the belly, behind the ears, and the web spaces between the toes and fingers. The skinfolds are areas where skin rubs against skin. Intertrigo is an itchy rash that can get infected with germs or yeast. It usually affects people who are overweight or who have diabetes. Intertrigo develops from mechanical factors and secondary infection. Heat and maceration are central to the process. Opposing skin surfaces rub against each other, causing erosions that become inflamed.

Sweat, feces, urine, and discharge may aggravate intertrigo in both adults and infants. Intertrigo has no predilection, other than that from anatomic differences. Intertrigo is common in warm, moist climates. Intertrigo may also be seen in people who must stay in bed or who wear medical devices that may trap moisture against the skin, such as artificial limbs, splints, and braces. Intertrigo is characterized by a red or reddish-brown rash. The affected skin will often be very raw and may itch or ooze. Yeast or bacterial infection can be treated with topical or oral medications. Topical steroid creams hydrocortisone is beneficial in relieving the pain and symptoms of the infection but does not cure the infection. Keeping the area of the intertrigo dry and exposed to the air can help prevent recurrences

Patients should wear light, nonconstricting, and absorbent clothing and should avoid nylon and other synthetic fibers. Using antibacterial soap, surrounding the skin with absorbent cotton or a band of cotton fabric, and treating the skin with absorbent body powders and even antiperspirants will all help prevent future occurrences. Keep skin cool and dry. Use a fan or air conditioning as needed. Try to expose affected skin to air twice a day for about 30 minutes each time. Do not wear tight shoes or clothing. There are no certain identities as to what Yoga Clothing to wear – but common sense will prevail and point you in the right direction if you want comfort while working out.

Your Yoga clothing should give you room to manoeuvre because of all the different types of yoga moves performed which may entail twists, turns and stretching. By dressing in slack or baggy clothing you will be more content doing your yoga – stretchable elastic materials is also practical clothing for these exercises. Skin Care – Excessive Sweat

Author: Franchis
Source: articledashboard.com

Has this ever happened to you? You go to bed in a nice, cold air-conditioned room and cuddle under a warm, fluffy blanket. You sleep for half of the night, only to awaken in the wee hours of the morning with your pillow, blanket, sheet, and pajamas all bathed in sweat. Well, the next night, you decide perhaps to get a cooler blanket, but then you cannot fall asleep because you are too cold. Therefore, you go turn down the air conditioner, but – once again – in the middle of the night not only you, but also your spouse, is burning up! What could it be? Perhaps, you are one of the many victims of excessive sweat during sleeping.

It is normal to sweat when you are hot, or you are exercising, or even feverish. You also may have some sweating due to stress and anxiety. It can also happen to many women during menopause, pregnancy, or other hormonal changes. Sweating is how you cool yourself down, but there are many different things you can do on your own to try to stop night sweats. If necessary, you can always put on antiperspirant to combat becoming smelly at night. as far as avoiding this type of sweating, it may be that the synthetic fibers are causing too much sweating, and you may have to change to natural-fiber bedspreads, blankets, and sheets, like cotton, wool, or silk.

If there is a big problem with sweating, then you may have an underlying problem. Night sweats are common during menopause, due to a drop in estrogen levels. However, if you are waking up in a cold, clammy sweat night after night, it becomes far from normal. Consulting a physician should be your first mode of action. There can be a very serious problem such as diabetes, anemia, stroke, or head or spinal injury if this is consistent. As with any seemingly unusual issues people have, it can also be an inherited trait.

That are always many different drugs to take to remove this issue, but do you really want to push drugs into your system, especially if it could be more harmful to other parts of your system? There are more than enough very good, sound advice out there that will propel you to find an actual solution – rather than to find a quick fix. As difficult as it may be to do, attempting to find all other avenues by the way of trying one idea for a couple of weeks at a time – before moving on to the other – can be the best bet before an attempt to find a solution medically.

So, if you are consistently waking up soaked in sweat, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the weather or your health (as in fever or having a nightmare), then there may be an existing problem that could lead to more dangerous conditions. Getting the best cure for your problem does not need to cost you a ton of money – you just need to try alternatives one after another. You can go for Iontophoesis, where they can apply low intensity electrical currents to your hands – which has to initially be done several times a week.
